Do Music Genres Exist?
I've had a few people now tell me that indie rock doesn't exist. And that alternative rock doesn't exist. And that music genres don't exist, and that you can't label art. This is bullshit.
Nothing Left To Say
So here I am, working but not working. I am sitting at my desk in this call center, waiting for a call, hoping one doesn't come, but at the same time so bored out of my mind I really wouldn't mind the interruption. I hate this. Why does life take these bad turns? I've never known it not to. Is it just me? Or is this life for everyone?
I Talk Fast - Get Over It
At my really annoying new job, I work in a call-center and talk on the phone. My boss has told me to slow down when I speak - well, and so have a lot of people actually, all my life.
I'm at Least Less Cranky Than I Used to Be, Right?
So, a friend of mine recently told me that I am the crankiest person he knows. The CRANKIEST. That to me is like angry+old. When you don't have the energy to do stuff about the things you complain about, so you just complain louder. Definition from wiktionary:
Hmm. Well, I can see that I guess. But I haven't seen this friend in a long time, and I'd like to think I've become at least less cranky. I'm working on getting rid of the crank altogether. But I know that I can sometimes get easily upset, etc.
Moving on. Life has been really good lately. I just had my 90 day review and did pretty well; no major problems to speak of. I still love my job and my coworkers. I don't really like it when it's this slow at work, because then I do stuff like this blog and feel like I'm wasting time. But there's just not much to do right now.
I also finally officially moved to Chico. My g/f and friend all got a really sweet house. I'm having a blast setting up my room. But I need a tv stand, or to mount my tv on the wall...
I think I'll go bother phil. This is even boring.
Grouchy, irritable; easily upset; Full of spirit; crank; Addicted to crotchets and whims; unreasonable in opinions; crotchety

Happy Thanksgiving!
It's Wednesday night, Nov 26th, Thanksgiving Eve, and I'm very happy. I've not felt this happy in a long time. I have some serious issues with happiness; the moment you get it, it goes away. It's easier to be unhappy, or at best void of emotion. That sounds really bad and pathetic, but it's not all that bad; it's a way to be guarded for the worst. The worst will always come, it's just a question of when.
But today, today I am happy. I like my job. I like the house I'm moving into. It's Black Friday, the worst day of the year for me because I spend so much damn money on pointless crap, and I think I'll be buying one item (Simpsons Season 10, $15). There's a couple 1TB drives I want from Newegg, but I just don't have hundreds of dollars to drop. And, you know what, I'm okay with that.
This blog is pretty revealing, I know. Perhaps it's the music I'm listening to (Nico - Fairest of the Seasons - Royal Tennenbaums Soundtrack). But I am trying really hard to get across the point that I feel happy, content, and it's great. My plans for this weekend, this great, 4 day weekend:
-Buy The Simpsons Season 10
-Thanksgiving with family, packing for the move in December
-Get the network WORKING at home - and working well
-Perhaps work a bit on some web stuff.
I've got some people lined up for web design maybe (pretty big maybe). Last site I made, I did for a car stereo. I don't mind since it's good experience and I enjoy doing it, and heck, I've always wanted a nice car stereo. But I could use some real cash, so I'm hoping my web stuff comes through.
I think I'm going to eat, watch King of the Hill, and then fiddle with the router. Life is good, for four days. Hope it can hold out that long.

Life Blog
Well, this has become less of a blog of 'everything interesting on the internet' and more of a personal blog, but oh well.
Fixed a few things with the site today; nothing major, but cleaned up some code; really just wanted an excuse to mess with stuff. You won't see any difference.
Looking for a place for my own to live; would be really cool to live on my own...
why am I blogging? It's 3 AM. I'll finish this up tomorrow...

Everyone at Work Is Really a Big Doo-doo Head!
People that work with computers are lame. I hate them. They sit around, in their nice chairs, drinking starbucks coffee and saying "Oh maybe I'll check my electronic mail!"
What the hell is electronic mail anyway? The mail comes in the MAILBOX; if it's electrocuted, you'll get zapped. Like Ernest in that movie. MAN WHAT A FUNNY MOVIE! I wish I had electricity shooting powers! Then I'd shoot everyone with computers and they'd be all "Oh I'm so shocked!" Oh that is RICH.
Girls are especially dumb, and should not use computers. They will only break nails as they type electronic mails and then that means the men using the computers will have to type even MORE electronic mails to catch up, and since everyone using a computer is retarded, it won't ever get done. Monkeys are really the ideal candidate for the situation, since monkeys often steal my mail and probably other people's electronic mails as well. I caught a large monkey stealing my mail once, but nobody believes me.
I've been to a couple websites lately and they sucked. Like 'google'. I went there and there's nothing even there. Just some box for sending more mails. I tried to send a mail but instead it threw a bunch of ads at me for things related to the mail. What a worthless site that is!
Hmm, the libary is closing soon, so I better get going. It's been fun. If you're reading this, you are an idiot, because you are most likely at a computer. If this was sent through regular mail, please put me on the list to receive the internet in my regular mail box, because I've been trying to get it for a long time and the idiots at AT&T are no help, they say it can't be done, but someone I know said anything can be done with the internet, so why not making the internet come to me by post?

Update on Personal Stuff
Well, I think I've fixed most of the issues with this little blog I've got here, and I haven't blogged in a really long time, so, here I go.
I've jumped around some jobs: from Blockbuster to a Verizon retailer for about 3 months (not great but not terrible... well, 'till the end), then an Armored Truck Driver for AT Systems for a month (worst.job.ever.) I quit that and have an interview for Dominoes Pizza tomorrow; not really excited about it but I need a job for bills (and anime).
I've also decided to go to Art School - the Art Institute of Sacramento to be exact. I am VERY excited about that. Going in for Game Art and Design, should be a cool mix of programming and artistry (I hope).
My comic began to languish when I got my new job at AT since I spent most of my time sleeping, working, or depressed (hence the sudden quitting. Not feeling like getting into details on it right now). But I did begin a new project called (creatively) Super Mario TCG. It is, as one might imagine, a Trading Card Game set in the Mario Universe. The first set of cards is based solely off of Super Mario Bros, with subsequent decks for Mario 2, 3 and so forth. I rather like it; it's just some simple copy+paste+copyright infringement, but it's all for fun and not to be a money maker or anything, just for me and my friends to play. I also really had a great time making the webpage for it - threw some simple javascript in there and made it fun to play with. My Maxx cards are also there, if you care to look.
I hope to work on my comic some more in the next few weeks; I've got a few ideas and know exactly what to do but just need to do it.
For some reason, just after I quit my job, VERYTHING went on crazy sales. Here's my haul from the last month or so:
Best Buy
Blast Works (Wii) - $10
Amazon
Samurai 7 Complete - $30
Toys R Us
Beautiful Katamari (360) - $8
Contra 4 (DS) - $8
Final Fantasy VI (GBA) - $8
Circuit City
Warhawk (w/BT headset, PS3) - $30 (I use the BT headset with my phone, don't even have a PS3...)
Seems like there was more but I can't think of it. Perhaps it's because I bought a few things just before quitting, like Batman Begins BD and a couple HD-DVD's in DeepDiscounts 20 percent off sale. Hmm.
Well, that's enough of an update. Until next time...

Some Reviews
Well, I've lost ALL interest in maintaining this website. Nobody visits it, it would seem (although I suppose my google adsense could tell me, I don't even care enough to check that). So, here are a few VERY quick movie reviews... perhaps I'll take the site in this direction later on, when I get a better job that lets me like movies again.
Bear in mind that I'll be doing these half-assed and very quick. No real in-depth looks at anything, no fancy language, metaphors and flowery... um, language. For now, I just want to bust out the reviews.

Total Access: Not As Good As It Was, But Still Better Than Netflix (Slightly)
Blockbuster raised prices for their Total Access online rental service around the end of July 2007, and so far there hasn't been much backlash at the store level. I was expecting complaints every day, with people getting mad and throwing things at me and spitting in my face, because most people never achieve a level of maturity in which they can simply speak to someone. Whatever. So far, I've had only a handful of complaints, and mostly it's people saying that it sucks that prices were raised but they switched to the higher priced plan anyway.
But online? It's everywhere.
Get a rundown of the price change plus why I think all this hoopla is unnecessary after the break.
